Period Poverty

Providing Access. Period.

What is Period Poverty?

One Quarter

1 in 4 U.S. women struggle to afford period supplies each year.

Work & School

1 in 5 low-income women report missing work, school, or similar events due to lack of access to period supplies.

Poverty & Lack of Awareness

The poverty rate in Pima County is 155% the national average. Only 4% of U.S. women are aware of a local resource where they could access free or reduced-cost period supplies.

Our Solution

The Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona is a proud member of the Alliance for Period Supplies. Through generous donations from U by Kotex and people like YOU, we provide period supplies through agencies that support women in continuing education and job training, as well as homeless youth and refugee support.

For Every $1 dollar donated, we can distribute $3 worth of period supplies in our community!
