One of the Diaper Bank’s most ardent supporters, Diaper Driver Dynamo, Trent Rowley received something that he has been coveting for many years. Rowley once said that the only thing he really wanted in return the tens of thousands of diapers he collects every year for the Diaper Bank was a Ben’s Bell.

April 22, his wish came true and it was a total shock. Jeanette Mare, founder of Ben’s Bells, conspired with the Diaper Bank staff, Bobby Rich from MIXfm and Craig and Lisa High, close friends of Rowley’s, to pull off the surprise of Rowley’s life. Rowley, who works with University Pest Control, thought he was coming to the Diaper Bank to get rid of some pack rats in the warehouse.

Right up until Mare’ presented the Bell to Rowley, he didn’t have a clue what was happening. The exchange between him and Mare’ could not have been scripted better as he told her he always wanted a Ben’s Bell and was wondering how he could get one. Mare’ played it perfectly telling him he could either find one or be nominated to receive one. When she finally pulled the Bell out of the bag and said that Lisa High had nominated  him and that was why Mare’ was there, Rowley was speechless.

Trent Rowley organizes a large diaper drive every year to coincide with the MIXfm holiday play that benefits the Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona. In 2013, he collected approximately 23,000 diapers and incontinence supplies and delivered them to the Fox Theatre, the day of holiday play.

Anyone interested in following in this Diaper Dynamos footsteps should check out the Diaper Drive section of this website. The Diaper Bank counts on the community to keep it supplied throughout the year.
