For the third year, the Jewish Community Relations Council and Women’s Philanthropy of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona are sponsoring a diaper drive to benefit the Southern Arizona Community Diaper Bank. The drive continues through March 31.

The diaper bank receives requests for 1,500,000 diapers each year, including requests from Jewish agencies, but can supply less than half that amount. Last year, through donations of diapers and funds, the Jewish community drive provided approximately 35,000 diapers to the diaper bank. This year’s goal is 50,000.

Baby or adult diapers can be dropped off at any Jewish organization. Checks payable to the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona (put “Diaper Drive” on the memo line) may be sent to Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona, Diaper Drive, 3822 E. River Road, Tucson, AZ 85718. An $18 gift will purchase 100 diapers. For more information, call 577-9393.
